Terms of service

The deal between you and us. Short, specific, and written so a fourteen-year-old can actually follow it.

Last updated 10 September 2026. These terms are an agreement between you and Dobeu Tech Solutions LLC, a limited liability company registered in New Jersey, USA (“we”, “us”). Using the site means you accept them. Reach us at info@dobeu.net for legal notices, or support@dobeu.net for everything else. We do not publish a street address; our registered address is available on request for a formal legal notice.

1. Who can use this site

Anyone can read the free chapters. Accounts are for readers aged 13 and over. Purchases are for adults aged 18 and over. Full detail on the age rules page. One account per person, and don't share your password.

2. Community features are unavailable

The feed, replies, community profiles, private messages and reader marketplace are not available in this version of Chima. No reader can post, message, create a listing, contact a seller or pay another reader through Chima. The data behind those features is locked too, not just the pages. None of this affects the Chima-operated shop in section 6.

Dormant community data from earlier development or testing may remain inaccessible for safety, dispute, or legal reasons. These terms do not promise a launch date.

3. Reporting and moderation

Community reporting is closed along with the rest of the community. For a safety concern about dormant content or an earlier moderation decision, email support@dobeu.net and we will route it for review.

4. Your content stays yours

You keep ownership of community content you created during an earlier test or release. While that content remains stored, you give us permission to retain or remove it for the limited safety, dispute, and legal reasons described in the privacy notice.

5. Our content stays ours

The story, characters, artwork and designs belong to Dobeu Tech Solutions LLC. Read them, quote a little, and make fan art — but don't republish chapters, sell our artwork, or train models on them.

6. The shop and memberships

Only adults can buy. We run payment collection through Stripe, and only when checkout is switched on for a product we can price and deliver. While checkout is off, nothing in the shop takes payment. Before you pay, we show the item, amount, tax, delivery details and seller. We never store your full card number.

7. Downloads, refunds and future physical returns

If an existing digital purchase does not download, first retry the download from your library to request a fresh short-lived link. If delivery still fails, you can submit a refund request tied to your order. Refunds are not automatic and the buyer request cannot move money.

Request received means the request is in the durable queue. Processing means an authorized administrator is checking it. Manual review means the case needs an operator decision. Failed means the request or processor check did not finish and can be retried or escalated. Rejected means the request was reviewed and not approved. Only confirmed refund means Stripe was re-read, the full refund was confirmed, and the local record was updated.

Our operating target is an initial review within one business day and a recorded resolution or escalation within seven calendar days. Contact support@dobeu.net with the order reference if you need help.

Physical print-on-demand sales have not launched. Return eligibility, destinations, costs and timings will be stated before physical checkout is enabled; we do not promise unimplemented carrier or return timing here. Nothing in this section removes consumer rights that apply to you.

8. Ending things

You can delete your account at any time in settings. We can suspend or close an account that breaks these rules, and we'll tell you why unless doing so would put someone at risk.

9. The boring but necessary part

The site is provided as-is. We keep it running as best we can but can't promise it will never break or lose data — keep your own copy of anything you'd hate to lose. Nothing here limits rights you have by law as a consumer.

10. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute that can't be settled by email goes to the state and federal courts of New Jersey, and you and we both agree to that. If you're a consumer somewhere else, this doesn't take away rights your local law gives you. Please email us first — most things get sorted that way.
