The coverall is not a costume

Chima in his white work coverall

Early art reads the white garment as a disguise. It is not. It is site PPE from the cleaning contract Chima works nights on, and the bell is a warehouse tag, not a joke about sheep.

Keeping it as workwear keeps the class detail in the story. He is a teenager with a shift, a locker, and a supervisor — not a fable creature in fancy dress.
